Bionit Inc.’s new health technology, certified by the Ministry of Health and Welfare this time, is a "liquid-based cytology smear technology using an automated centrifugal pre-processing" and is an innovative technology that automates the pre-processing that was previously performed manually.

In the case of liquid-based cytology testing using the existing sedimentation method, several pre-processing had to be performed manually, and processes such as cell condensation, cell separation, and cell sedimentation were performed in separate equipment. Therefore, more than 10 consumables and 3 equipment were required.

However, the centrifugation pre-processing automation technology developed by Bionit Inc. is a technology that automates cell condensation, cell separation, and cell sedimentation over 5 minutes in one device using WellPrep Hely6, which was specially developed using 5 consumables. This centrifugal separation pre-processing automation technology has not been developed in the world, and 4 patents were registered during the development process.

Bionit Inc. plans to expand and distribute WellPrep Liquid-based Cytology products developed with this unique technology in Korea, and the centrifugation pre-processing automation technology will be applied to Liquid Biopsy in the future.
